Newest Newbery Book - A real winner!!!

I just finished the 2012 Newbery Award winning book Dead End in Norvelt by Jack Gantos. This was one of the funniest books I have read in a long time! The story takes place in Norvelt, Pa. in 1960, the year Jack turns 12, and involves guns, baseball, nosebleeds, Girl Scout cookies, Hell's Angels, and obituaries. To find out how all these things tie together in a very funny, thought provoking novel, read this book - you won't regret it!

What did you read over the summer?

One of the books I read over the summer was I am Number 4 by Pittacus Lore.  I know it has been out a while but it was very popular in my libary and my only chance to read it was this past summer.  I really enjoyed the this book.  I really liked the characters and the action packed ending.  Throughout the book there was always something that held my attention from begining to end.  If you like science fiction, action-adventure, and even romance, this is a book to check out.
